On the the 21st of May the Finals for the UEFA Champions League will be held in Moscow, and both of the teams that will try to get the most coveted trophy are both from England, the stage is set for the first All-English Finals for the Champions League — Manchester United FC versus Chelsea FC . |  |
I was able to write a short recap of the First Leg of the Semi-Finals for the UEFA Champions League, Europe’s premier club competition. I wasn’t able to write another entry about the Champions League after the Second Leg of the Semi-Finals was over. The Second Leg saw, Manchester United FC, an English Club, winning over FC Barcelona , a Spanish Club, while for the other Semis match, Chelsea FC was able to defeat Liverpool FC , both teams from England.
I’m no die hard football fan, soccer in the US, but I still love to watch the game and I do have favorite football clubs and players. And one of those would be Manchester United FC, who would have not have heard of the club, one of the best and well know football club around the world.
The upcoming finals was not the only competition that involved the two teams but also in England’s football club competition, the Barclay’s English Premier League . United clinched the first place in the standings after winning the last match for the season against Wigan Athletic FC while Chelsea was held to a draw on their last match against Bolton Wanderers FC and finished in close second in the standings. Before the start of the last matches, both teams were tied on points, with United just leading on goal difference.
For the upcoming Champions League Finals, will United deliver another agonizing blow to Chelsea or will Chelsea get back at United for their lost in England. This would be another great and historical Champions League Finals.
