It is the first week of September and the start of -BER months and it only means one thing for Pinoys…it marks the beginning of the Christmas season . It’s the last quarter of the year and soon we will bid 2008 goodbye and say hello to 2009. Whoa! Time really flies so fast. You won’t even notice it. (Right?)
Here in the Philippines , when the first day of the month of September begins, you will start to hear Christmas songs play on the radio, in the mall or even at home and children start to sing Christmas carols. It is the beginning of the long Christmas season here in the Philippines . Others start to buy Christmas decors and start putting their Christmas trees at home.
OMG! Christmas is really near and apart from that, on November, mom and I will celebrate our birthday. (Yay! I’m getting a year older.
) Come December, we will all be busy with parties here and there and of course the nine-day dawn masses which is also known as Misa de Gallo .
Christmas is a time of gift-giving, time to spend with our love ones, families and friends. I hope each and everyone of us will have a BERry, merry and a blessed Christmas this year.
