August 30, 2008, an estimate of 60,000 fans, all for the love of the Eraserheads, waited for hours at the The Fort Bonifacio Open Field just to be able to watch the bands reunion concert.

If you were not able to watch the concert live on last Aug. 30, you might as well not miss the Eraserheads Reunion Concert The Movie .  Smart Buddy and Sony BMG, will be presenting a 35 millimeter full length movie of the said concert.  The movie will be shown simultaneously in theaters in Metro Manila and Cebu starting Wednesday, November 26.

The movie captures the highlights of the biggest concert ever, state of the art sounds and lights, magnificent fireworks display, Eraserheads hits performed on stage and the different faces and emotions of fans that were at the concert.  It was not just a reunion concert, the event healed the rift among the four members of the band.  Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro.

The City of Angeles in Pampanga is currently celebrating a event, "Twin Fiesta 2008 - A Month Long Celebration", organized by Angeles City Tourism Office (ACTO) sanctioned by the City Government of Angeles.

The Twin Fiesta 2008 is a primary event, the biggest one celebrated in North Luzon this time of the year because the La Naval Fiesta and the Fiestang Apu are by long-standing tradition both celebrated in the month of October by Angeleños.  People from all over Pampanga, Tarlac, Olongapo, Bulacan and other nearby provinces are known to visit their friends and loved ones, being delighted with culinary treats and tours of city spots.

As it was a wish of one of our most idolized and respected person, Jen and I decided to wear our Francis Magalona Clothing Co. (FMCC) shirts last Saturday (Oct 4).  Sir Francis aka Kiko is currently winning his battle against Leukemia, our prayers still include his full recovery.  He is a strong person and has a very positive outlook in life, that even if he is faced with such challenge, he never did lose his faith in God.

Thanks to everyone who voted for us on the Filipino Blog of the Week contest.  talksmart started this contest last April 2006 and has been able to give Filipino bloggers the opportunity to be given attention in the blogosphere and also helps in promoting the nominated blogs.

With this, we hope we can bring a lot of more blog entries that will not just be for us but for our readers and visitors.  We are still in the run for another week in the contest, hopefully all those who voted will still support us.

Cyril and I attended the Wedding Expo (WEPS08’s) held at the PICC Forum last September 6, Saturday.  It’s a two-day event of a grand display of anything and everything related to wedding.  It’s our first time to attend a bridal fair (we weren’t able to attend the bridal fair last month at The Lakeshore) and I can say that it was a great experience.  

There were so many wedding booths featuring their wedding products like gowns, cakes, invites, give-aways, photo and video packages, coordinations etc.  The wedding suppliers even provided bags, brochures and leaflets for soon-to-weds.  We went around the PICC Forum and just grabbed brochures from different suppliers for us to have an idea about their packages, prices and discounts.   Read the Rest of the Entry »

Jen and I just got home from attending the Wedding Expo Philippines , as soon as finishing dinner and watching Celebrity Duets Season 2 and the Eraserheads part/interview on Jessica Soho on GMA 7 , I turned on the laptop so I could start to write an entry about our trip to the Wedding Expo and our side trip to Francis M ’s shop in Great Mall of China.

After our homepage finished loading, I noticed a message on our shoutbox from talksmart informing us that our blog was nominated on the Filipino Blog of the Week Contest , voting will run for one week.  Jen was shocked when I mentioned the nomination to her, and we were both asking each other who nominated us.  Whoever he/she is, may it be by random choice from talksmart, we are very thankful for the nomination.  Considering that our blog is turning seven months old this second week of September.

It is the first week of September and the start of -BER months and it only means one thing for Pinoys…it marks the beginning of the Christmas season . It’s the last quarter of the year and soon we will bid 2008 goodbye and say hello to 2009. Whoa! Time really flies so fast. You won’t even notice it. (Right?)

Here in the Philippines , when the first day of the month of September begins, you will start to hear Christmas songs play on the radio, in the mall or even at home  and children start to sing Christmas carols.  It is the beginning of the long Christmas season here in the Philippines .  Others start to buy Christmas decors and start putting their Christmas trees at home.
