CyJen - Odds and Ends

Sony released the third series of their PlayStation Portable (PSP), the PSP-3000, dubbed as "PSP Slim and Brite ".  The hand held device is now available in the United States and across North America starting October 14 and in Europe starting October 15, there’s also a scheduled release in Australia and Japan on October 16.  There will be bundle packs and core packs coming out for the PSP-3000 series.

In comparison to the PSP-2000 Slim and Lite, the PSP-3000 has an improved Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen with an increased colour range, five times the contrast ratio, half the pixel response time to reduce ghosting and blurring effects, and anti-reflective technology to improve outdoor playability.  It has an integrated microphone, the goal of which is to establish the PSP as "a viable communication device".  PSP games will now be playable on interlaced (non-progressive scan) televisions via composite video cables.  The Start and Select buttons have changed from semi-circles to ovals, with the home button being replaced by a "PS Button" similar to the PlayStation 3’s DualShock 3.

Google Chrome - Google ’s own web browser.  As was posted on Google Blog , the search engine giant has been developing a new web browser and will be on beta launch today in more than 100 countries.  On its Wikipedia page, the web browser is said to have been develop by using the WebKit rendering engine, while on the blog post it was also mentioned that they also used components from Mozilla’s Firefox.

Noong sinulat ko na dadalin ng Globe Telecom sa Pilipinas ang IPhone 3G , sinulat ko doon ang inaasahang magiging presyo ng IPhone 3G kung susundin ang binigay na presyo mismo ng Apple .  Marahil marami ang nasiyahan ng makita ang kinalabasan ng kalkulasyon (Php 8,842.66).

Ngunit maaring madismaya kayo, katulad ko, kapag inyong nalaman kung magkano "maaring" ilabas ng Globe ang Iphone 3G

At around 1:00 A.M. (Manila Time), Firefox’s Download Day officially started.  The day where Firefox aims to set a Guiness World Record for most downloads within 24 hours.

"The Best Firefox Yet", is the tag that was given to Firefox 3 by the developers, they also added, "With more than 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is faster, safer and smarter than ever before".

"We’re really proud of Firefox 3 and it just shows what a committed, energized global community can do when they work together," Mozilla chief executive John Lilly said in a release.

The Mozilla Foundation is a nonprofit organization that builds and refines public, open-source software in a collaborative manner with input from engineers around the world.

Opisyal na ngang inanunsiyo ng Globe Telecom at ng Apple ang pagdadala nila ng bagong bersiyon ng IPhone , ang IPhone 3G , dito sa Pilipinas. Mula sa isang anunsiyo na nalathala sa kanikanilang websites (Apple at Globe ). Isinasaad dito na sa huling bahagi ng taong ito (2008) ay ilalabas ng Globe ang IPhone 3G sa mga Post Paid at Pre Paid na mga kostumer nila.

What can you say about the fresh and new look that we are now using for CyJen.com?

A month ago, Jen and I opted to change the design of our site. It was a new look that was more appealing than the first design we used, just by changing themes. Now, we’ve undergone another overhaul for our site, this time, it’s not just a change of theme but the whole site itself.
