Philippines’ American Idol Fever: After Daughtry comes Cook Wedding Color Motif
Aug 14

Hi guys! I know it’s been awhile since we were able to post an entry.  Cyril and I were busy these past few weeks. We weren’t able to update our blog and to our readers, we apologize.  Today I will give you updates on what’s been happening with us these past weeks.

Cyril’s uncle passed away last August 02, 2008, his interment was August 06, 2008.  Upon hearing the sad news that he passed away, we hurriedly went home to Bulacan to pay our respect to the late Tito Cesar.  We were all very saddened about what had happened but maybe it was the plan of God.  As for my personal experience, four years ago, my father died after a long battle with Lung Cancer.  At first, it was so hard for us to accept things.  We were all burdened but eventually we recovered from our griefs and resumed our normal lives.  I know our life here on earth is only temporary and God is the only one who knows when it is our time to go.

Came Friday, August 08, 2008, it was a very special day for me.  Cyril and his family went to our house to formally ask for my hand for marriage also known as pamamanhikan . Cyril together with Mama Rita, Ate Kaka, Aki, RP, Tita Miring, Ahryss, Tita Cheng, Tita Semy, Tita Au, Papa Freddie, JP, Tata Ens, Tito Totoy and Kap Ver arrived around 3:00PM.  They brought foods, mom and I cooked dinner for them too.  We talked about our plans and we all agreed that we will celebrate our wedding this coming May 2009.  We still have to talk about the exact date since my brother and sister are in London and Abu Dhabi respectively.

The following day, Cyril and I together with Mama Rita and Aki went to Manila.  We stayed for awhile at Tita Semy’s place in Makati.  After dropping me off in Angeles City, Cyril went back to Bulacan.  Sunday, I went to Mama Pat’s place in Bulacan to go with them to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).  Papa Freddie will be back to work after months of vacation.  We were already in NAIA Terminal 1 around 2:00PM and left around 3:00PM.  We passed by theNeo-Chinatown Center Neo-Chinatown Center on Macapagal Blvd. to check out Francis Magalona ’s shop, Three Stars and a Sun .  Finally, we found Kiko’s shop on the second level and we bought 3 shirts-2 for Cyril and 1 for me.  We got a free CD too. Weeeee…

Anyways, I’ve heard from the news that Francis M was diagnosed with Leukemia .  I was shocked with what I’ve heard, who would imagine that he has a leukemia .  I hope he will be able to fight the trials that he is experiencing now.  I know he will, knowing him as a strong person.  I hope and pray for his fast recovery.

Guys, he needs blood donors right now.  If you are willing to donate blood of any type (subject to medical requirements) please go to The Medical City located along Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City.  Donations may be made at the lower ground level in the name of Francis Magalona .
