Welcome 2011

Another year has passed and a new year is ahead of us. It
was a year full of surprises, memorable experiences and blessings
from our Lord.

The most special of them is that it is the year that
our baby angel, Mei Cyrene Joie, was brought into this world, it’s
the best event that happened for us.

Hoping that the coming year
will also be full of blessings for everyone.

3. Wash and drain them well.

4. Put salt and ground pepper to taste. Mix well.

5. Put 1 tbsp calamansi juice. Mix well.

6. Put in the fridge for 1 hour.

2010 FIFA World Cup Finals

Oranje Netherlands 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals Netherlands versus Spain Spain 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals La Roja

The Netherlands and Spain are the two teams left who will fight it out in the finals of the 2010 World Cup South Africa.  Both of them still haven’t won the cup, so this coming July 11, 2010,  there will be an eight team who will join the list of FIFA World Cup winners, joining Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, France and England.  Picking a winner between the two is hard when you’re going to base your choice on the history of both teams against each other.  The two teams have already played nine matches between them, wherein each team have won four games and one game’s a draw.

Netherlands ( Oranje )

The only team with six wins in six matches in the course of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa with twelve goals to come with it, and the team that defeated the tournament favorite Brazil sending them home in the Quarter-Finals.  This is the third time that the Netherlands will  be playing in the World Cup Finals, the first was in 1974 which they lost to West Germany (2-1) and the second came in 1978, four years after, which they also lost to Argentina (3-1).

Spain ( La Roja )

After an unexpected defeat against Switzerland on the first match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, Spain is on a five game win streak.  The 2008 European cup holders seem to be back in form as what they have shown during their last five matches.  For Spain this is their first World Cup Finals appearance, with only a fourth place finish to boast for in the 1950 World Cup, wherein they lost to Sweden (3-1).

Key Players

Five goals is currently the most number of goals scored by a single player, and four players scoring five goals each, two of the players are playing in the World Cup Finals on opposing teams.  Wesley Sneijder of the Netherlands and David Villa of Spain will have their own match in the Finals, vying for the top goal scorer of the tournament.  Also both of them are in the shortlist of the Golden Ball Award, which is given to the tournament’s best player.  There are ten nominated players for the Golden Ball Award which were selected by the FIFA Technical Study Group.

Players to Watch

For Spain it will be Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, both of which are dangerous in passing the ball which will make or break Netherlands defense.  While on the Netherlands side, Mark van Bommel and Nigel de Jong will play big roles to their team, as they will both need to step up their game to be able to disrupt the passing game of Spain, you cannot leave out Arjen Robben, one of the fastest player on the pitch, as he tries to make plays for his teammates and himself.

Unexpected Players

During the course of the tournament both the Netherlands and Spain each have a player that haven’t shown their full potential and during the World Cup Finals, one or both of them might be able to showcase what they can do on the pitch.  Spain’s Fernando Torres will have to show what he’s capable of as this is the last match of the tournament and Netherland’s Robin van Persie needs to shift to a higher gear to be able cement his name as one of Netherland’s best center forward.
