CyJen - Odds and Ends

Who wouldn’t want to have a surprise thrown for anyone celebrating their birthday!  Jen, never did cease to amaze me in conjuring surprises.  Though last year’s was a little "unsurprising".  Hehehehe!

This time, it caught me off guard and did not expect the surprise that they had planned.

Jen contacted my relatives in Bulacan and told them that she was planning a surprise birthday party.  She also told barkada from Tantra whom I haven’t been able to see for quite some time.  I did have a hunch that Jen’s up to something but it never occured to me that it would be that big.  My only plan was to go home on my birthday and drink ’til you drop, which of course happened.  The surprise that came with though was really unexpected.

On the day of my birthday, Jen and I had scheduled to just buy some food to take home with us in the morning, then on the afternoon we will visit Ate Marie for her despedida party, after that we’ll head straight to Bulacan.  Most of the time when we go home, Jen would just be quiet while I was driving in NLEX.  This time it felt kinda weird that she would often times talk and ask a lot of questions during our trip.  I never did think about it, since I was concentrating on my driving.

When we arrived, I noticed that there were a lot of vehicles parked outside our place.  And when I passed by, Papa Freddie told me to just parked outside, contratry to what I always do when I go home, I park the van inside.  I just followed what he told me and then unloaded the food and stuffs that we had brought and then went in.  Walking into the pathway towards our house, I noticed that the lights were turned off, and when I got to a certain place there were flashes and the lights suddenly turned on.

There I was standing, frozen for sometime, staring at my relatives and friends that were shouting "Happy Birthday!".  The feeling was unexplainable, shocked but happy, speechless yet there were a lot of things that can be said.  Hehehehe!

We then started to eat as we were late on arriving since it took us quite a while to get home.  There were a lot of food prepared and it felt like it was before when we always had a party for my birthday when I was young.

After eating we then went on to my plan!  Drink until the wee hours of the morning.

Thank you to my Loves, Jen, for the wonderful surprise even though just being with her, my relatives and friends would have been enough gift for me.

A lot of thanks goes to those people that were there for my special day.

To my Tantra friends, Maren, Onard, Kuya Louie, Ken, Wax, Brayan, Kai, Resty, JR and Elly.  One of my SuiXidaL Family member, Dade Josh.  My siblings, Kuya Nel, RP, Anj who were there, Ate Kaka and Jak who weren’t able to come though, Ate’s in the mountains and Jak’s in Iloilo.  My cousins, Kuya Jo, Kuya Aris, Kuya Alvin, Kuya Alex, Len and those I wasn’t able to mention.  My Titos and Titas, Tita Semy, Tita Miring, Tita Cheng and again, those I wasn’t able to mention.

Most specially to my Mama Pat and Papa Freddie, Mama Rita who was also not able to come, since she’s in Iloilo.
