August 30, 2008, an estimate of 60,000 fans, all for the love of the Eraserheads, waited for hours at the The Fort Bonifacio Open Field just to be able to watch the bands reunion concert.

If you were not able to watch the concert live on last Aug. 30, you might as well not miss the Eraserheads Reunion Concert The Movie .  Smart Buddy and Sony BMG, will be presenting a 35 millimeter full length movie of the said concert.  The movie will be shown simultaneously in theaters in Metro Manila and Cebu starting Wednesday, November 26.

The movie captures the highlights of the biggest concert ever, state of the art sounds and lights, magnificent fireworks display, Eraserheads hits performed on stage and the different faces and emotions of fans that were at the concert.  It was not just a reunion concert, the event healed the rift among the four members of the band.  Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro.

Since we were not able to attend the concert last August 30, I just had to have this album.  I was only able to buy the album last sunday, after going to more than 10 different music stores.  Every single one of the stores sold out the album.

Listening to it still gives me goosebumps… Its as if I was still at the concert… waiting for the continuation of the cut-short concert… more… more… more…

My friend Rebo made a tribute to the Reunion Concert of the Eraserheads and uploaded it on YouTube .  Watch the video he created for them after the jump, enjoy and hopefully we will be able to experience another gig from the greatest philippine band.

This past months, it was a roller coaster ride for the Eraserheads, a lot of things has happened and rumors flew around.  As if the ride will never end, the most anticipated and hyped concert went on a sudden plunge as it was cut short.

If your going to ask me if this is true or am I just joking around.  I hate to break your heart, YES, it’s true that the reunion concert of the best band that graced the Philippine music scene will materialize.  Yet, the pieces were not put into places smoothly.

It seems that I’m kinda late in posting about the Eraserheads Reunion Concert.  An event that will be sponsored by Marlboro Philippines.  There are already a lot of blog posts about the said concert, bloggers asking where they would be able to get tickets, since it was confirmed by Ely Buendia in an interview by GMA 7 that the concert will be free.  As some of the blog posts, it is said that you have to be part of "The Red List " of Marlboro to receive updates and "maybe" the ticket itself.
